Museum Without Walls™: AUDIO
Sat June 11 to Sun June 12, 2011 - 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This interpretive audio program with 35 stops for 51 sculptures along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Kelly Drive tells the unique histories behind Philadelphia's outstanding collection of public art. These diverse stories are told by nearly 100 "voices" from all walks of life - artists, educators, civic leaders, curators, historians, scientists, relatives, and others with personal connections to the sculptures. Accessible through multiple platforms, Museum Without WallsTM: AUDIO is available to the public for free on the street by cell phone, audio download, mobile app, or as online streaming audio and audio slideshows.
During Art in the Open, the Fairmount Park Art Association will have "Public Art Ambassadors" on hand to distribute Museum Without WallsTM: AUDIO maps and answer questions.
